If you want to bike with your kids on paved roads, you have plenty of options, and most cheap trailers will be good enough. However, if you want to go on gravel roads or dirt trails, you’ll need a more serious bike trailer that has a suspension system. Otherwise, the ride can get very bumpy

If you look at the manufacturer’s recommendations on bike trailers for kids, you’ll see that babies must be 12 months old to use the trailer, or they will defer to “consult with your pediatrician.”
